Akinremi Olusegun Salami (Bsc, ACA, ACTI)

Remi is an experienced and resourceful professional with strong technical background in Auditing, Accounting, Stock Broking, Mortgage Banking, Estate development and Management Consulting. He is versatile in the administration and development of sound accounting and internal control systems as per the standards set by the Committee of Sponsoring Organisations (COSO 1992) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002. He is a self-starting and motivated personality, with excellent presentation skills.

He is an Economics graduate of the University of Lagos. He is an associate member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He started his career with Sulaimon & Co. a firm of Chartered Accountants and was responsible for the planning, supervision and conduct of audit assignments. He was being involved in the audit of the following organisations amongst others; United Nations development Programme (National Execution of Programmes), Nigerian National Petroleum corporation (Value for Money Audit of the Upstream JV Partners), Habib Nigeria Bank Ltd (now Bank PHB) and Petroleum Equalisation Fund.

He was also the team leader in the following assignments with the National Council for Privatisation/Bureau for Public Enterprises;

• Cross Debt Determination and Resolution between Public Enterprises
• Pension Reforms in Public Enterprises
• African Petroleum Plc Privatisation

He also worked in Interstate Securities Limited, a firm of stock brokers, where he was responsible for the preparation of all financial and statutory returns and was part of the team that raised the first Ekiti State Bond in 2002. He also worked in Solid Trust Savings and Loans Limited; a mortgage banking and property development company and Total Business Solutions Ltd a management consultancy firm. He is at present the Managing Partner of Otrem Professional Services a professional services firm engaged in the full range of Financial Advisory, Accountancy, Taxation, Training, Consulting, Investment and Audit Services.
